How to mount ISO images with Linux

We will mount the image file disk.iso in the mountpoint  /media/ISO.

This is supposed to be done with superuser privileges.

First create a mount point, as root:

# mkdir /media/ISO

or with sudo:

$ sudo mkdir /media/ISO

Then mount your ISO image:

# mount -o loop disk.iso /media/ISO

or with sudo:

$ sudo mount -o loop disk.iso /media/ISO
